Chevra, this week’s parsha is Lech Lecha. When I think of Avraham (still Avram at the beginning of our parsha), I think of being Biased for Action. In our parsha he’s told to leave everything he knows and go somewhere new. Next week he’s told to take his only son from Sarah and sacrifice him (there are Midrashim that say Sarah died from hearing Yitchak had been sacrificed). We see Avraham rushing to the aid of his nephew, Lot, when he gets in trouble. We see Avraham rushing out to meet guests even when he’s ill from his recent circumcision (Brit Milah). Also he argues with Ribono Shel Olam to save Sdom and Amorah. If I was given this LP during a Loop, definite Strong Hire! Shabbat Shalom
