Metzora - 2019

It’s playoff hockey in Boston and AWS is there. ;-)

Chevra, this week’s parsha is מְצֹרָע, but it’s also Shabat Hagadol. Next Shabbat is already Leil Seder and Pesach. Given the moon lander’s name was Beresheet and with Chol HaMoed coming, I’d like to raise a beracha that one can make when they see some kind of natural beauty that they haven’t seen for 30 days or more. So when you are out on tiyul and see a beautiful vista or mountain, you can say: ברוך אתה ה’ אלוקינו מלך העולם עושה מעשה בראשית
When I first attended an AWS Awesome day, I was looking for a beracha to say, but I don’t think this beracha covers this situation. In any case, the idea of starting up a whole infrastructure without having to fly and setup hardware was and still is a dream come true.
Shabbat Shalom.
