Chevre, this week’s parsha is קֹרַח (Korach). This week’s parsha is famous for the rebellion of Korach. But there was also the rebellion of Datan and Aviram and they were slightly different. Korach says that all of Am Yisrael is kodesh and that the leadership of Moshe and Aharon are not correct. Datan and Aviram reject Moshe as well, but they are not just challening the leadership, they are challenging the direction that they are moving in. Moshe may be at fault of not earning trust with Korach, but with Datan and Aviram, they are failing disagree and commit. There was a trial and HaShem taught Korach, Datan and Aviram and the descendants of Datan and Aviram what Dive Deep really means. (for those that don’t know, the earth opened up and swallowed them). But not the descendants of Korach, because we learn in the Haggadah of Pesach that the descendants of Korach made it to Bnei Brak. There was a further proof of Aharon’s place with the trial of the staff’s and the fact that Aharon’s sprouted flowers and blossomed. The choice of cloud provider may be questioned here and there, but the customer obsession of Moshe and his dedication to fullfilling the will of God cannot. Shabbat Shalom
