Chevre, this week’s parsha is הַאֲזִּינוּ (Hazinu). Most of this week’s parsha is taken up with Moshe’s final goodbye to the people of Israel. It’s written as a “song” meaning the verses are split in half. It’s similar to a spot node that has it’s 2 min warning and needs to finish some things before being terminated. Moshe was on such a level that he was given this spot termination warning. The last aliyah of the parsha is Moshe being told to go up the mountain for his indescript grave that no one will know about. We’ve talked previously about how this was outside of Eretz Yisrael and how the 2.5 tribes asked for land on the East Side of the Jordan because this land was better for their herds, but it also moved the borders of Eretz Yisrael to encompass Moshe’s grave in the bounds of Eretz Yisrael. So while he wasn’t buried in Eretz Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael came to him. Shabbat Shalom.
