Devarim - 2022

Chevre, this week’s parsha is דְּבָרִים (Devarim). You know when you give notice at work and you are in that time period of handing everything over before leaving a company? That is what is happening in Devarim. Moshe has appointed his successor and he’s winding down, reflecting on the journey they’ve taken. So there is a review this week of some of the journeys the people took and some conflicts with other groups they’ve had. Followed by a reminder to implement Multi-AZ with 2.5 tribes staying on the East side of the Jordan River. What is interesting is that Moshe was not allowed to come into the West side of the Jordan, the side he wanted to come to. He was buried on the East Side, but by having the 2.5 tribes remain on the East side, they brought Eretz Yisrael to Moshe. Kinda like bringing Outposts or Local Zone closer to the on-prem data center. May we all have the time to reflect on our accomplishments and learn good things from them. Shabbat Shalom.
