Ki Tisa and Purim - 2025

Chevre, this week’s parsha is Ki Tisa (כי תשא) and today is Purim. The major action in this week’s parsha is The Sin of the Golden Calf and the fact that we can repent. The parsha, however, is very much overshadowed this week by Purim, which is Friday and Sunday (in walled cities like Jerusalem). On Purim we read Megillat Esther, which is shrowded in mystery. The Megilla is read as a leader, but the trope changes at specific points based on what is happening in the story.
