Chevre, this week’s parsha is Haazinu (האזינו). In case you didn’t have enough shul yesterday, we’re back to shul (every day), but we are heading into Shabbat. And, of course, next week is the start of Sukkot. This is the last full parsha of the Torah. The piece we read next is what we finish the Torah with on Simchat Torah and then restart immediately with Beresheit.
This week we have the song of Moshe and I’m reading this as the last warning that he gives. In my mind, he’s tried so many times to try to keep the people on the path toward HaShem, now he’s finishing with a song. Maybe this marketing effort will succeed where others do not. Hing, we know from Nevi’im that it doesn’t fully work. I guess there will always be those customers that use (abuse, mis-use?) services in ways they weren’t designed for.
Since the parsha is short, I’ll keep it short as well. After this, I’m heading outside to finish building the succah.
Shabbat Shalom.
