Chevre, this week’s parsha is Ki Tavo (כי תבוא). Last week’s parsha started with going out to war. This week’s parsha starts with “when you come into the land”. We will be blessed with new fruits and we will bring them as an offering to the Mishkan and later The Temple. We have tithes because we will be blessed with prosperity. And then there is the choosing. The people choose HaShem and HaShem cherishes this people.
The ideas here are also pertinent to today. We choose specific technologies to make our lives easier. And the companies that offer these services (should) cherish those customers that use their products and services. At Amazon the customer is not always right. But we do have Customer Obsession. There are times when the customer needs to be guided toward best practices, but we do cherish and respect the customer and what they are trying to accomplish. And we make every effort to help them succeed.
This Motze Shabbat, Ashkenazim will join the Sephardim in saying Selichot in preparation for the High Holy Days. The Selichot are a form of the people choosing HaShem. We are admitting faults and asking for help in returning stronger to HaShem.
I bless you all with a Shabbat Shalom.
