Thinking about a Clouded Torah

Chevre, this week’s parsha is Shelach Lecha (שלח לך). The majority of this week’s parsha is taken up with the scouts and the fall out from their, mostly, ill report. I heard this week a Dvar Torah that talked about the word ממנו, usually translated as from us. This is the word used to say that the residents of Caanan are bigger than us. But the take in the Dvar Torah I heard was that the residents of Caanan are bigger than him.
