Chevra, this week’s parsha is Terumah. The entire parsha is about building the Mishkan in the desert. While the EC2 team are building out the racks, Moshe receives specific instructions for building The Ark, The Showbread Table, The Menorah, The Covers of the Mishkan (including those Unicorn/Tachash skins, do you think he used our workshop app to order the Unicorns?), the walls, partitions, The Altar and The Courtyard. What’s interesting is there are many aspects of our modern synagogues that take their placements from the Mishkan/Temple like the Bima in the middle of the shul, the lecturn where the Sheliach Tzibur davens is in front of the Perochat/partitions (which holds the Torahs). Those EC2 and Networking folks building their racks also use age old and wisely learned best practices. Shabbat Shalom.
