Chevra, this week’s parsha is תּוֹלְדֹת (Toldot). We have the famous story of Esav coming back from hunting and being famished (super hungry). So much so, that he sells his birthright to Yaakov for a bowl of lentil soup. If I think of this story in terms of Leadership Principles, we can see the lack of Dive Deep (to really think about what he was doing), Are Right A Lot (he gets upset about losing his birthright later), Develop the Best, Insist on High Standards, and Think Big. He was Bias for Action, but I think we can take this as an example of when Bias for Action is not good. May we all strive to live up to the LPs in their context and deeper meaning both in our work lives and personal lives for the betterment of all. Chodesh Tov and Shabbat Shalom
