Chevre, this week’s parsha is אַחֲרֵי מוֹת - קְדֹשִׁים (Achrei Mot - Kedoshum). This week’s parsha starts with the mentioning of the death of the sons of Aharon. And then launches into the Yom Kippur service. So after we have a reminder of the ultimate punishment, we then learn about how to request or merit forgiveness. This mirrors closely operational pains when operating systems. You have a major problem or outage and then figure out how to alleviate it. Our best hope of not repeating history (or outages) is to learn from history (and other people’s mistakes). My hope and blessing is that we can “see around corners” by learning from others and sharing our learnings with each other. Shabbat Shalom.
