Chevre, this week’s parsha (in Israel) is בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ (Behalotcha). First off, it was great to see everyone at the TLV Summit this week. Thank you for those that came up and said “hi”. This week’s parsha is broken up into a few pieces and some consider Bamidbar is actually 3 books. We have in our parsha up until the breaking up of the camp and the trumpets that notify everyone of this. I would consider this similar to the 2-min warning you receive when you’re about to lose a spot instance. Then there is what we say every time we take out the Torah, “When the Ark would journey, Moshe said …”. This is sometimes considered a “book” unto itself. In our spot example, this is the script that runs on the spot to save it’s work somewhere. Then we have the 3rd book and it immediately starts with the decline of Bnei Yisrael and folks start to complain. In our example, this would be when you have a mistake in your workload or it can’t REALLY handle spot recalls and it falls apart. May your spot recalls all work well or fail gracefully. Shabbat Shalom.
