Chevre, this week’s parsha is Ki Tavo (כי תבוא). “And G-d has affirmed this day that you are, as promised, God’s treasured people who shall observe all the commandments” (Devarim 26:18)

In my Chumash, it indicates that this section of the parsha is “G-d and Israel are Inseparable” which immediatelyl makes me think of vendor lock-in. This is the concept that a workload is deployed using technology that binds it tightly to a specific vendor. It can be extremely difficult to pull a workload out of vendor A, when that workload is using technology and secret sauce tied to managed services and APIs that the vendor provides and that other vendors either do not or those services and APIs are not 1 to 1 compatible.

Here, the people and G-d are tightly coupled together and no matter how poorly the people treat HaShem, he sticks with us. After this re-integration we have the commandment around Har Eyal and Har Grizim. We know where these mountains are in Israel and they starkly contrast each other. One is lush with greenery and the other barren, yet, they are right next to each other. When visiting the area, one can imagine the tribes split between the mountains and the Cohanim+Leviim at the bottom.
