Vayakel - 2022

Chevra, this week’s parsha is וַיַקְהֵל (Vayakel) and it’s Parsha Shekalim. As I mentioned last week, Shekalim is the parsha that reminds us that in the near future we will be contribuing our 1/2 shekel to The Temple for use in communal offerings. This is the first of the special parshiot leading up to Passover/Pesach. So you can think of it as the beginning of the countdown. The prasha, Vayakel, starts with Shabbat.
