Chevra, this week’s parsha is Re’eh, but Shabbat is also Rosh Chodesh Elul. Elul (אלול), as you may know, according to our sages is a acronym for אני לדודי ודודי לי from Shir HaShirim (I am to my beloved and [as] my beloved is to me). The sages tell us that Shir HaShirim is a love letter/poem/message between HaKadosh Baruch Hu and Am Yisrael. Elul is a time of tshuva before Rosh Hashanah. The other day I started to sing an Elul song, HaMelech Basade, which is telling us that HaKadosh Baruch Hu is accessible to all of us all the time, but especially in Elul when he’s more amongst us and asking us to return to him. This reminded me about all the PMs and Service Teams that come to Israel to expose us and our customers to the inner workings and upcoming things going on in AWS. May our customers experience only the good from our services, teams and efforts and may we all do tshuva during Elul when HaKadosh Baruch Hu is even more accessible to us. Shabbat Shalom, Chodesh Tov.
