Chevre, this week’s parsha is בְּחֻקֹּתַי. We finish sefer Vayikra and start next week (at Mincha on Shabbat actually) with BaMidbar. The parsha starts with blessings and curses, “if you follow my commandments and do them”. It then talks about things dedicated to the temple and redeeming houses and fields. There are 2 ways to look at the redemption of the Jubilee Year. 1) is to see that you don’t really own the property and so G-d is forcing this realization on you by returning the property to who he originally assigned it. This is like EC2 reclaiming spot. Instead of 2 min though, you get 50 years. And 2) you can see it as a restoring to the way things should have been originally. Similar to and AWS Config rule that re-inforces a security policy. May we all be happy in our places and strive to fulfill our potential to the max. Shabbat Shalom.
