Chevra, this week’s parsha is בְּהַר. So we know it takes place at Har Sinai. The parsha talks about Shemitah and Yovel followed by the Cities of Refuge. As you may know Cities of Refuge are were someone who accidentally killed someone can go to take refuge from the family of the deceased. The refugee can live there until the death of the Kohen HaGadol when they are allowed to go free and the family of the deceased is not allowed to kill the accidental murderer. Don’t worry, killing EC2 instances do not require taking refuge. Finally, the parsha talks about Jewish Slavery, no still not talking about EC2 or Lambdas. What I find interesting about this parsha is the first line where it says “HaShem spoke to Moshe on Har Sinai”. In the Gemara when it can’t find a written source, it says it’s a tradition from Moshe on Har Sinai. I’d love to be able to use this line with customers, it’s a tradition from Jeff (take your pick Bezos or Barr) or Andy (Jassy) in Seattle. Shabbat Shalom.
