Chevra, this week’s parsha is הַאֲזִינוּ. We are in the last parsha read on Shabbat. The remaining piece of the Torah called זאת הברכה is read on Simchat Torah. We’ll tackle that in 2 weeks. Early next week we’ll talk about Sukkot. For now, we have our last “regular” Shabbat for a couple of weeks. The majority of the parsha is the Song of Moses and is the final words from Moses and the parsha ends with the death of Moses. I wonder if we specifically read about this episode around Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur becasue of the recent episodes of din and repentance. Here we have the stark situation of Moses not being allowed into the land of Israel. I guess his IAM credentials did not allow for him to access the Israeli region. ;-) Shabbat Shalom, may you and your families always have IAM credentials to Eretz Yisrael.
