Passover - 2019

Chevra, this week there is no parsha! It’s Chag Passover and so we’ll be reading from Shemot about the Exodus. Because there is no Shabbat Chol HaMoed, we will also be reading Shir HaShirim tomorrow as well. Shir HaShirim is often considered a love letter from HaShem to Am Yisrael. Regarding the Exodus from Egypt, I see this as a migration from on-prem to Eretz Yisrael. We noted previously that the “region” in Eretz Yisrael has at least 2 AZs, The East Side of the Jordan and the West Side of the Jordan. It could also be noted that the Galil, Shomron and Judah were also often thought of separately. And the Negev could be considered a separate area as well. That brings us up to 5 AZs! May you and your families have a Happy and Kosher Pesach and spend a lot of enjoyable time visiting the 5 AZs of Eretz Yisrael during Chol HaMoed. Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach.
