Chevre, this week’s parsha is תְּצַוֶּה (Tetzaveh) and Parshat Zachor. Zachor is when we remember what Amalek did to us and we read this every year before Purim. The parsha goes through the priestly vestments (clothes) and then through the inauguration ritual of the Mishkan. The parsha finishes with the daily offerings. What struck me as from this parsha in the wake of the latest global news is the idea that the whole Nation of Israel was together, but had very little interaction with the outside world. This Shabbat, more than many others, I will be extremely thankful to disconnect from the news cycle, focus on my family and connection with the Holy One Blessed be He. There are times for everything and this week, the disconnect from technology (even the omnipotent cloud) will be a welcomed change for 24 hours. May you all have a Shabbat Shalom and a Happy Fun Purim.
