Chevre, this week’s parsha is וַיֵּשֶׁב (Vayeshev) and it’s Shabbat Chanukah. I’ll be speaking to the Israeli team next week about Chanukah, so I’ll stick with the parsha here. The parsha starts with Joseph’s dreams and talk about Think Big. He dreams about leading his brothers and his mother. But being so Amazonian, he’s truly misunderstood and will be for a long time. There is the side story of Yehudah and Tamar and then back to Yosef. He’s in Egypt and his master’s wife tries to seduce him and he gets away from her, but is put in jail. There is the dream interpretation of the cup bearer (I have to say every time I try to write cup it comes out cpu) and the baker. So we are left with a bit of cliff hanger with Yosef remaining misunderstood. I bless you all for a happy Chanukah despite everyone still being seperated. This is the festival of lights where we bring our light outside to our front doors during the darkest time of the year. May we all be together again next Chanukah to light the Chanukiah (Menorah) together. Shabbat Shalom and Chanukah Sameach.
