Chevre, tonight/tomorrow is שָׁבוּעוֹת (Shavuot). Shavuot is connected with Pesach. After we left Egypt, we went out into the desert, became purified and then received the Torah. So we count the Omer which is a measure of grain from Pesach to Shavuot. Similar to how Sukkot has Shemini Atzeret at the end (although the very next day), Shavuot is weeks later. I think of them like having Multi-AZ DB (Sukkot + Shemini Atzeret) vs having a Global DB Replica (Pesach + Shavuot). Still connected, but further away. Traditionally, there are Torah classes all night and folks stay up all night, or later than usual, learning. With the current situation, this may be a bit modified in some places. May we all soon be together (and healthy) and able to finally have true peace in Israel and throughout the world. Chag Sameach.
