Chevre, this week’s parsha, in Israel, is בלק (Balak). This is where Balak, King of Moav (I can see these mountains from my house and Ruth will come from there, the ancestor of King David) was afraid of the Bnei Israel and was trying to hire Bilaam to curse them. Nearly the whole parsha is about Balak and Bilaam. From the outside, Israel was scary and it was difficult to curse them. But then the picture goes back into what is happening in the camp of Israel and we see that things internally are not going so well. So while things, families, companies, situtations on the outside may look great, when you get into the details of what is actually happening, things may be very different. For me, it’s important when talking to people looking to join Amazon or to customers, to try to get to the details and understand what is happening as much as possible to be able to conclude the most informed decision possible. Shabbat Shalom
