Chevre, this week’s parsha is תְּצַוֶּה (Titzaveh). Where last week we learned about the items and makeup of the Mishkan, this week we start with the oil for The Menorah, the vestments (aka swag, but they don’t get to keep it) of the Kohanim including what the Kohen HaGadol wears, and we have the inauguration of the Kohanim. So with any new deployment the starting point is important. The details on how we start our journey can affect us for a long time to come. If we have lockin or inflexability in our design or approach, that can lead to higher bills or, in our personal lives, having blinders on. While the Mishkan and later the Temple introduced a specific way of praising HaShem, later after the destruction of The Second Temple, new ways of praising HaShem were developed (prayer). There are discussions what the sacrifices may be in a rebuilt Third Temple. One school of thought is that only the Mincha or food (aka non animal) sacrifice will be offered. It is this adaptability in life that we can learn from the progression of the methods of serving HaShem and take into our daily lives as we build, explore and enhance our and our customer’s architectures. Shabbat Shalom.
