Chevre, this week’s parsha is Lech Lecha (לֶךְ לְךָ). While the parsha has many illusions to the current situation in Israel, I will avoid those. Instead, there is the story of Lot and Abram (not yet Avraham) where the shephards were fighting over the same pieces of land. Abram offers to have a division of the land with Lot, but lot chooses to go to Sdom. In the cloud, there certainly are some finite resources, those are generally protected by account limits and quotas. However, those can be removed and customers can bloom their fleets into large expanses of the regions and run the workloads they like. In a cloud scenario, Abram and Lot’s shephards would be fighting and they would work with their cloud provider to increase their limits and then they could essentially expand the land as much as needed by their flocks. And they lived happily ever after. Shabbat Shalom.
