Chevre, this week’s parsha is וָאֵרָא (Va’era). In the parsha HaShem tells Moshe that he’s putting him over Pharaoh. Seems like a simple corporate re-org. But Pharaoh doesn’t except it. He’s making the life of his team harder and harder for support Moshe. So HaShem (would he be the CEO) starts to punish Pharaoh and his other teams to make them accept the change. This is followed by the first 7 of the 10 plagues. After some of these, Pharaoh seems to agree to the terms, but then backs out. And the “other teams” of Pharaoh, aka the Egyptians, are not happy about the plagues and are begging Pharaoh to capitulate. And we’re left with a cliff hanger. More to come next week. Shabbat Shalom
Running Update: It’s been noted that my friday posts have been coming out later than before. That’s because my morning runs are getting longer and taking longer. Today Kashkash (one of our dogs) and I ran 15km. The longest I’ve run since 2019. And we’re still collecting charity to support my father and I running in the half at the Jerusalem Marathon. All proceeds go to the Joslin Clinic, which helped my mother learn about her disease and how to live with it. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/shlomo-dubrowin
