Chevre, this week’s parsha is Vayishlach (וַיִּשְׁלַח). This week we have the whole scenario of Yaakov meeting again Esav, his brother, after many years. Yaakov takes precautions, splits up his resources (his family and people) to protect them (so only some can be exposed to the same danger at the same time) and a procession of messengers are sent to Esav. Seeing that we are wrapping up re:Invent in Las Vegas today, I seem some parallels. Esav appears surprised, taken aback and maybe even overwhelmed by the messengers (messages) coming from Yaakov. When Yaakov finally meets with Esav in person, they embrace. The brothers appeared to be reconciled and go off on their ways. I hope both customers and employees alike found this year’s re:Invent meaningful, exhilarating and have some positive take aways. I had such a great time meeting up with old friends, friends I had only met online and making new friends. Shabbat Shalom.
