Chevre, this week’s parsha is Miketz (מִקֵּץ). The parsha this week is clearly centered around Yoseph. Paroah has a dream (not like Dr Martin Luther King Jr) and no one can explain it to him. The cup bearer remembers Yoseph and not only does Yoseph explain the dream(s), but offers a potential solution. This is great, not only do you have a problem with your cloud environment, but here’s a solution to it. Paroah lifts Yoseph up and makes him the number 2 man in Egypt. We’ll call him the CTO+COO. Yoseph is in charge when his old team, his brothers, come to him with some cloud problems. The parsha talks about a famine and a lack of food, but in our example, this would be a lack of cloud resources. Yoseph, still angry with his brothers for getting kicked off the island, gives them food, but deals harshly with them, keeps Shimon in prison (has to work over the weekend?) and gives them their money back. Furthermore, he tells them that their youngest brother (I don’t have a metaphor for him) has to come with them if they are to come back. They come back and after sending them out, accuses them of stealing and the stolen data is found in the account of Benyamin. And we finish the parsha on a cliffhanger. Shabbat Shalom
