Emor - 2024

Chevre, this week’s parsha is Emor (אֱמֹר). The largest section of our parsha goes over the holidays including Pesach (Passover), The Omer (which we are counting now between Pesach and Shavuot), Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot. The Menorah and Show Bread are discussed again. The part, however, that really stood out to me this week is a small section that if a Cohen (Priest) is tameh (not ritually clean), they must go through the purification process before they can enter The Temple to perform the service.
