Vayera - 2024

Chevre, this week’s parsha is Vayera (וַיֵּרָ֤א). The parsha this week starts off with an interesting story. Three men come to visit Avraham three days after he did circumcision. We learn that this is the time of high discomfort and these three men are visiting Avraham, who is sick. This is the first time we learn about visiting the sick. Avraham, however, fulfills another mitzvah of attending to guests. He jumps up, even in his discomfort, and takes care of his guests personally.
