Chevra, this week’s parsha is וַיֵּשֶׁב (Vayeshev). In this week’s parsha the main character is Yosef. He is sent out to find his brothers while wearing his long coat of many colors. This coat represents that he doesn’t work. With long sleeves that will get in the way and of many colors that he won’t want to get dirty, he is pampered and doesn’t want to work. His brothers throw him into a pit (empty, there was no water, meaning it may have had scorpions or other things in it).
