Kedoshim - 2019

Chevra, this week’s parsha is קְדֹשִׁים. So it includes all kinds of things about how to be holy (kadosh) or how to avoid be unholy. One of the forbidden things it mentions is you should “indulge in sorcery” (translated by Art Scroll). The Hebrew is actually לא תנחשו. And the continuation of the pasuk says you should not believe in lucky times. The Gemara in Sanhedrin (65b) talks about trying to commune with the dead.
