Vayechi - 2021

Chevre, this week’s parsha is וַיְחִי (Vayechi). This is the final parsha of Sefer Beresheit. Most of the parsha is Yaakov giving “blessings” to his sons. It seems more like a Well Architected Framework Review where each son is highlighted for their strengths or faults during their lifetimes. Yaakov then requests to be buried in Hevron, he dies and there is the funeral in Hevron. While there, Yosef’s brothers are worried he will take revenge on them, so they tell him that their father wanted them to get along and for Yosef to not take revenge.
