Chevre, this week’s parsha is וַיֵּצֵּא (Vayetze). In addition to the deceit by Lavan to Yaakov in the marriage of Leah and Rachel, Lavan also changes the work contract for the herd that Yaakov is tending to after the marriage work was complete. Lavan changes the rules many times and Yaakov is able to adapt and consistently come out ahead. Finally, Yaakov has completed all his contractual obligations and flees from Lavan to avoid further treachery.
